“With this series, the goal was to take viewers on my personal journey through the art of Graphic Design. This seemed daunting at first, as I often get caught up in associating such a field with logos, businesses, the corporate rather than the creative; however, my love for storytelling and literature helped cut through the crossroads to reveal my destination.

I assigned myself four books to read, each resonating with the difficulties, the courage required, the consequences, and the freedoms of self-expression experienced over my years of artistic growth. With book covers created using programs like Illustrator and Procreate, Literature and Self shares both my own story and those of the books I read, all to remind audiences of the power narratives, both visual and written, still hold within.”
